What you can expect:

Embark on a boat trip on Thu Bon River to Kim Bong carpentry village. The craftsmen here have made a vital contribution to the recent restoration of Hoi An and Hue’s historic architecture. Meander through the village with the possibility of seeing wooden fishing vessels being built using traditional techniques. Visit a carpentry workshop and witness how the specialists’ tools and techniques are passed on from one generation to another. Explore the village where you may see local people weaving fishing baskets, or, possibly visit children at a local primary school. End the trip at an ancient house which dates back 200 years. Take this chance, with a little help from your guide, to chat with the host to learn more about their daily life and how they have preserved the ancestral house for generations. Cruise back to the old town and drop off at hotel before your lunch time.
